My 84 year mother is suffering from a variety of medical problems, severe heart condition, mesial phenomia, poor circulation in the extremities, type 1 diabetic and goes on. At the recommendation of her vascular specialist we researched walk-in tubs and had a representative of Premier at my Mothers house.
After the salesperson took measurements to be sure the tub would fit, he proceeded with his sales pitch. At the conclusion of his presentation we discussed options for equipment and methods of payment.
My Mother selected a specific model, the sales person made a phone call to the "main office", after which he informed us the tub we selected was not in stock and would take approximately four weeks to be delivered to my Mothers house. After agreeing to a price, the sales person required us to provide him with a 1/3 deposit, $5,000, which we did.
Three days later we received a call from our financial advisor about ours losses in the market, this was late Friday, Monday we called Premier and cancelled the order. They refused to refund the deposit but would apply it to a future purchase.
