Wilshire Apartment (located in StormLake, Iowa 50588) belongs to Tom Robinson Realty located in Johnston, Iowa 50131 and doesnt have a street address on their correspondence mail (So Idont have their street address number here) tried all kinds of excuses to holdmy security deposit.
According to the Uniform Residential Landlord andTenant Law of Iowa Section 562A. 12, subsection 3, the landlord should forwardthe tenant the security deposit within the thirty (30) days after thetermination of the rental agreement. If not, according to the law, they need tosend me a letter explaining why security deposit was not returned. They didntsend me an explanation letter and they didnt return me the security depositeither. According to the law, if the landlord fails to do so, it will forfeit all their rights to withholdany portion of security deposit. I moved out of the apartment on July 23. I alsocomplained about them with Better Business Bureau Iowa branch. But it is nouse. So far I have not received even one penny from them.
