Here is an example of Walmart's great customer service. I was at the self checkout yesterday February 18, I completed my transaction, I was prompted as always if I wanted cash back, as always I said no. Apparently there was a glitch and I was given a 20 cash but because I did not ask for cash back, I just grabbed my receipt and left the store. Later on I am checking my receipt and I notice the cash back, I immediately called back and I was told by the clerk that if a customer got the cash i was just out but if the cashier had it I could get it back. Well they take my name and number and called me back twice to double check the register and the time. Well the second time she whispered are you caucasian or african american? I answered black, well anyway she said I could come and get my money when I was ready. I get there at 9pm yesterday only to be informed by the manager that he looked for my money and did not find it and he was too busy to to look for it and fhe was not going to waste his time and I will just have to come back in the morning and let the day shift handle it.
So I had to go back today, I now understand why the night manager behaved the way he did, when I asked the store manager if I could sit down with him for a couple of minutes he told me no, but we can talk right here, I just said, I will talk to you later not wanting to create more of a scene than I already did. Walmart has just lost another customer, the dollar stores are thriving, and walmart has gotten to big for their britches.
