Alberta Wilson is a Chihuahua Breeder in Cedar Creek, Texas. I purchased a beautiful smooth coat bitch from her for Conformation shows with the AKC. The bitch won a blue ribbon at her very first show! I got a letter in the mail in the beginning of December (first week) stating my bitch was placed on referral due to a parentage question. Someone had DNA tested their Chihuahua and it came up that my Chihuahua's grandmother is stated incorrectly. Usually it is the sire in question after 7 litters so a red flag started waving in my head that something didn't seem right!
The ACK send Mrs. Wilson a letter before I received one. I forwarded my letter to her since she stated she never received a letter, and she told me she would contact the AKC to find out what the issue was. Come January the AKC never received a response from the Breeder. I called her once again, and the AKC called her and got her on the telephone and mailed her a DNA kit to return.
Today is February 10th. The AKC has yet to receive any DNA samples back for processing. If this breeder was ethical, was honest, and was a decent human being, she would have submitted that test the day after receiving it! At this point, she is not doing anything, because I am convinced her dog in question was not actually regisistered with the AKC so she used a different bitch as the AKC number.
Now I have a show quality Chihuahua, who has the potential to Champion extremely quickly, and have to wait for the AKC to issue me a Conditional Registration meaning I cannot show her in Conformation AKC shows. I paid full price for a show dog, I paid extra for AKC papers, and I'm stuck with nothing I can do about it!
Do NOT purchase a dog from ALBERTA WILSON!!!
