Having problems paying my Citi Financial bill since I lost my job:
So Citi Financial sends me this statement in the mail for the last two months:
"We'll work with you, listen to your concerns, and identify a payment solution that may fit your personal situation."
"It's important that you call 1-866-918-6649, ext. 1XXX6 so we can help.
I tried to call the large bold toll-free number at the top of the statement 1-866-918-6649 only to get a recorded message For a charge of $4.95 please get a pen to write down our phone number. Then call 10-15-15-8000 the number you have dialed has a new national directory. Calling Ten will get you information about the number you called, you will be chaged $4.95 plus universal recovery fees and other fees
I believe this bogus invitation for help was deceptive and part of a continuing pattern of malicious collection activities by Citi Financial that needs immediate corrective action.
