John Robbins collected $2,500 for materials to paint the exterior of a house and repair a roof. He claimed he was going to Home Depot for materials and would be back in an hour. He never returned. I called him every day for almost a month and each time he had a different excuse for why he had not returned to begin the work. After a month he stopped returning my calls. After 3 months I sued him in small claims court and won.in the courtroom he was loud and argued with the judge, then followed and heckled me as I walked to my car afterwards, so he appears to be somewhat unstable. He has no wages to garnish, and boasted that all his possessions are in his girlfriends name, so despite having won the case, it is going to be very difficult to get my money back.
