I bought a 2003 Dodge Caravan from Ted's Used Cars two years ago.in a bad situation financially and credit wise, I went to their dealership, because they said they wanted to help good people in a bad situation and put them in a "good car". Big Mistake. They did not display any prices on the vechicles, and pulled a bait and switch on me when I was in the shop. The first salesman said the car was $9995 and when I was signing the contract all of a sudden it was $2000 more. I realize now I should have walked out, right then and there, but out of desperation, knowing I needed a car for my family and had no credit, I signed to it. Shortly after driving the vechicle for a month or so, the steering fell apart, the passenger window broke and the motor developed a tick. I brought the car back to them numerous times, with no avail. They patch things with bubble gum and scotch tape. They don't fix things. These items to date have still not been repaired. The service department is told to do whatever little they can do to "mask" the problem. That is the first issue with them. The second issue is your payments. They come to your house to remind you of payments if your a day past your due date and constantly harrass you by phone. They feel they are the "Stroudsburg Mafia" in the way their financial department does their unethical business practices. They've come on my property twice and drove off in my vechicle with no warning for being two days late and charged me an extra $150-$200 to get the piece of crap back. They feel they are above any loan regulations and can do anything they very damn well please. The car is worth nothing and regular dealerships won't even take the car, because its' worth nothing. So now, I am stuck with this piece of junk until I pay it off and junk it. If you are in need of a car and have no credit or bad credit, Do Not Buy From Ted's Used Cars. They have no morals and will prey on your situation. Save yourself money and aggravation and buy a cheap car with whatever you were going to put down as your down payment. Not, only will you not have to deal with these crooks, and overpay for a car that is worth nothing, you will probably have a more reliable car than whatever they can give you.
