Verbal abuse and humiliating remarks

Dear Sir:

I am taking the liberty to write this letter as to bring to your attention, and those responsible for your postal workers ethic of contact with the general public.
Regretfully, this is not the first time we have been confronted with horrific situations by your postal workers when we have visited your Post Offices. And notwithstanding our repeated written complains, these horrific situations continue to date without even receiving your reply.

On September 24, at 2:05 P.M., I visited your US Post Office at 271 Cadman Plaza E Ste 2 in Brooklyn, NY to post an urgent International package. I approached the “Seniors Citizens Window†and gave my package to the lady clerk by the name “Anna†I was given her name later by her supervisor Mr. Rajumaracheril This lady clerk took my package and the appropriate mailing ticket and Customs Declaration, (see exhibit # 1 and 2) enclosed, and proceeded to process it. It appeared that she was not that familiar with an Urgent International mail and she was having some difficult time with her computer. At that point she told me that I have the wrong address ticket. I said, no, I do not lady, I have been doing this for a number of years sending urgent packages overseas and these are the same address ticket I am always been using. “ So what†she said, “Don’t tell me I have been doing this for 25 years†she snapped back at me very rudely, “they are wrong and you will have to do it again†she said and she pushed the package back to me with a new ticket (see exhibit #3). I said, lady why do you have to be so nasty? Is it because you feel secured in your position protected by your seniority and your union? Do not be so nasty with me.in an outburst she snapped back at me in a loud voice: Go fuck your mother in her ass, and go to someone else to help youâ€. (I apologize for my explicitly, but I most quote this rude person so you will know exactly what she told me) And at that point she closed the Venetia blinds at her window on my face and left me standing there in a total terrible shock, and humiliating disbelief. The stress that her insulting remarks towards my dear month that had nothing to do with anything, caused me to treble and my blood pressure went up. I demanded to see a supervisor. Mr. Rajumaracheril came and I explained to him what had just happen. Mr. Rajumaracheril apologized for that rude lady’s behavior, took me to another window, and there, the new clerk, took my package and the same ticket and Custom Declaration and posted my package with further incident.

I consider these horrific insulting remarks from your employee as being a verbal abuse and harassment. My character has been defamed, I was humiliated, insulted, and my dear mother that had nothing to do with anything dragged in mud by the nasty mouth of this employee. I demand therefore a formal apology in writing from your above mentioned employee, and I will suggest that people like her be given some kind of a trainee of how to behave like a human being when dealing with the public. Verbal abuse and humiliating remarks will not be tolerated by your employees.

Your immediate response to this urgent matter would be very much appreciated.
