I currently receive Hud Housing and due to getting a new landlord in Oct. Of last year, I recently, after 4 years, was made to leave my home. Now this very young, fat, money hungry jerk of a man is nothing but a liar and may I add a complete jerk.

I lived in a tri-plex and when this new so called landlord bought this place he wanted to come and inspect my home. The man walked freely through my home, checking out everything on all 3 floors and was very, very, impressed! As a matter of fact he made the comment to me & my daughter that it was the nicest & best conditioned home he owned. He then proceeded to ask me if I ever considered a option to buy the place and would I consider the option if he promised to make our payments lower than the rent payments I was making now.

Now here's the kicker... He said that Hud wouldn't have to know anything about it. We could just keep it all hush-hush and that way I could still keep my sec. 8 and not lose my Hud Housing assistance.

Now anybody that's ever been on Hud or knows anything about Hud Housing knows that if they find out your doing something like that behind their back you're more than likely terminated from assistance and you'll probably have to pay the money back too.

Needless to say it didn't take a fool to see this guy was as crooked as all hell. He was a lying, swindling, cheating scumbag right from the start. He even made me cry on several different ocassions just simply because of how he talk to me and made me feel. It was like he always seemed to degrade me & make me feel like I was a low-life just because I received Hud Housing or something. Or that he was better than the rest of the world, (especially me) because I rented from him. It got so bad that I hated having to talk to the man and scared to death to even have to deal with him.

Well the first two months he submitted a form to Hud to try and raise the rent right off the bat. Hud never approved it. So he told me that he was losing out on money every month on just our place alone and he was raising the rent the following month and we were going to have to pay the 50 extra dollars anyways. I went staight to my Hud worker & explained to her what was going on and what kind of a man he was and she said theres no way he could do that and that she would call him and explain it to him and handle it all for me. We never did have to pay it.

Now in Jan. & Feb. Things got a little rough for us. We paid the rent late. Half of it was usually paid when rent was due, (which was always the 5th for us, he seemed to have changed it to the first according to his bulls#*t lies he told in court). The remaining balance was paid the following week. But it was always paid by the end of each month so we never got behind.in March I was having family problems, my Father was diagnost with cancer, (and I explained that to him), and we were late again but when I went to hand him the remaining balance of the rent money we owed him he would not except it from me. He said he was taking us to court and he felt he could get more money from the place and he was just a good business man.

To make a long story short, we went to court, he lied his behind off and said we didn't pay him anything at all for the month of March even though we did pay him $200.00 towards rent, which I had the proof of because he wrote a receipt for it which I took to court and had witnesses that went with my fiance when he took the money to Brian's automotive shop & paid him. But he denied it and said it wasn't his hand writing, that it was forged, and this was the second time we went to court because he didn't show up the first time so it was thrown out of court, but needless to say I lost on a option to pay Aprils rent and take the 30 days to move out on & clean to get my cleaning deposit & my pet deposit back.

When I moved in I paid a total of $900.00 deposit, of which $200.00 of it was a pet deposit for two older cats I had and a bird, (a blue & gold macaw). We painted the whole entire place, wall-to-wall, plus the two stair case railings, (my fiance is a painter by trade and does dry-walling). We steamed cleaned & shampooed the carpeting twice, we fixed up the place so good that it looked way better than when I first moved in it! Now we stayed a couple of extra days which was alright with him, and I'm giving him that out of the deposit, but the only thing he did the day we left when he came to pick up the keys & do the final walk through was put a new lock up on the front door and the back door, and put his for rent sign in the window.

After we did the final walk through he had wrote a statement that we all signed, me, my fiance Sam, and the landlord and he stated how good the place looked. But now the no good for nothing, swindling, lying, cheap-skate man of a so called landlord does not want to pay any of my deposit back! I was really really counting on that money for a deposit on a another place. That's what we had such a hard time with the first time, coming up with the deposit, plus the first & last month's rent to move into a place. Two months before I moved out I had put in a work order for the bathroom toilet on the main floor to be looked at & fixed. It had been slowly seeping up water around the base of it. He never even had somebody come look at it, and then when we did the final walk through he looked at me & Sam and said as far as he was concerned he never knew about anything being wrong or needing to be fixed in the bathroom and that's the way it was going to stay. So doesn't that tell you something right there?

He just shouldn't get away with this! Landlords do this crap all the time to people and how they do it is under handed and sneaky. They take poor people's money that have to work hard for it and not just hard but it always seems to be the people that have already had a hard time in life with things and have already had there sure of bad luck and are just looking for that one little break in life to get them through the door. But as long as they got people & landlords like that in the world people like me don't ever stand a chance! So if you ever come across a landlord named Brian T. McGlone please don't rent from him because he's very unhonest, unfriendly, has no compassion and is also greedy, selfish and a very unfaithful businessman!
