On October 25th, I wrote a check to Wal-Mart and it was declined. The store Mgr. Called Telecheck and said there was like info. To mine in their system, different bank, but like info. They said to run the check, but I had already paid by credit card. It happened again, and they said that until I sent them all of my personal information to the TResearch Dept., my checks would be declined. I have written no bad checks, and they do not derserve to have my personal information. I spoke with my Credit Union, and they said this happens all of the time with Telecheck. With computer technology, one would think their system can do a better match. They are prohibiting consumers from writing checks, and causing humiliation at the same time. The business taking my check can see who I am, know I frequently write checks, but will not pay the merchant for a perfectly good check. I have called several times to the toll free number, and will not be given a Manager. This is a violation of my rights, and I would like it stopped; for my sake and many others. Thank you.
