Malfunctioning Key

Recently on July 22 I purchased a Mercedes Benz ML320 1998 from Madison Budget Motors. I was able to physically pick the car up during the third week of August. At the picking up of the vehicle I was only supplied with one key for the entire use of the vehicle and was not informed of any key problems that may occur with the vehicle. On September 27th when going to start my vehicle the engine would not turn to allow me to start the vehicle. As I proceeded to do so several times it would not work. I called for a tow on that same evening and had my vehicle towed back to my residence. It was then on September 28th when I attempted to start the vehicle again several times and it would not start. I proceeded with calling Mercedes technician to come out to my home and have a look at the vehicle. As they attempted several different jump starts and reprogramming the vehicle still would not start. On September 29th I had the vehicle towed once again, to Mercedes Benz of Zimbrick European for an out of pocket diagnostic check. Later that week I was informed by the store mechanic that I needed to purchase a new key and battery. My original key had malfunctioned and the current battery in the vehicle was the wrong one. I was told by a mechanic that the correct battery had been swamped out for a cheaper one of a different band that does not function properly with my vehicle. Also I was informed by a mechanic that this could be the main cause as to why the key had malfunctioned, due to negative circuit volts being discharged. After my key order had gone in to Mercedes form Zimbrick European it came back as negative, the following week, saying that I could no longer get a replacement key for this vehicle's key lock set due to the fact that the previous owner (s) had used all the keys for the current key lock system in the car. (there are only 8-10 keys made per key lock system of each Mercedes vehicle and once all the keys have been order / used than a new key lock system has to be installed inthe vehicle. If I had been informed with this information prior to purchasing the vehicle, I would not have bought it and would have gone with a smarter option for sure.) So I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket for a whole new key lock system and key (s) starting at 2900.00 plus labor.in addition to purchasing a new battery and battery cord at $147 for the battery and $30 for the battery cord. I also took it upon myself to contact the most previous owner to ask if they had any spare keys, and they did not. But was also informed that they, the previous owner had placed a new battery in the vehicle months before selling it to the local dealer (Madison Budget Motors). I spoke with the employees of Madison Budget Motors on three separate occasions about the condition of the vehicle no one has followed up with me as of yet. I have not been able to drive my car going on five weeks now. This has been a huge inconvenience to me with work, school and my small business. I think the most fair resolution to this matter would be for the local dealer to fix the problem (s) at the dealers (Madison Budget Motors) own expense in a timely manner, because I have already lost finances, business, and time with this situation. Or to trade me there most recent vehicle they have that is the same or similar (Mercedes Benz ML320 2002).
