I am glad I found this site. I purchased a 2007 Ford Expedition from the OffLease dealer in Fort Worth back late May. I had just survived a head on collision with a drunk driver (his fault) and wanted another big vehicle as the last one saved me from major injuries.
Well, their price was well below all others on the market and the vehicle seemed very nice. However, once I completed the purchase and asked for the second key and remotes for the vehicle I was told I could purchase those for $50. I decided that since I got a pretty good deal on the price I was not going to sweat the small stuff. Three weeks later my car started acting up and it got to the point it would not start. I took it to an autoparts and had the charging system checked. I discovered the battery was needing replacement. So I purchased another battery.in the process of replacing the battery I discovered two gaping holes on top of the old battery where someone had pried the cables off the posts. Just recently the electric gate opener ceased working. Although I do not completely fault the dealer for all of the problems, the issue with keys and remotes and the busted battery indicate a lack of customer service. I recommend the dealer because their pricing is way low (in my case $3K below all others), but make sure you check your vehicle thoroughly and don't sign anything until they fix things (oh, and don't just trust they are goign to do the work, make sure to check it after they bring the car back). Lastly, do not assume you are getting everything that should come with the vehicle (like keys, remotes and owners manual (yes mine is missing as I discover a few days after the purchase).
