HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - Kenmore Side by side refrigerato

This process started on 3-12-09... I contacted Sears Parts direct to order a replacement water filter for my Kenmore side by side refrigerator. Up until now I have NEVER had a problem with replacement filters. I was on=line ordering the part while talking to a live person on the phone to make sure I got the correct part for my refrigerator.

I also ordered a dairy door replacement... $90 al together.

3-17-09 The part arrived and they were so poorly packaged the filter had come out of the box and rattled abound so much it cracked the dairy door. I contact them again and informed them of the cracked door and also inquired about the filter I had been sent. At that time I was informed that the filter was a substitution and that I would need an adaptor to make it work for my refrig... I told them that it would have made nice if I had been informed of the need for an adaptor when I purchased the filter. They agreed and I asked for the filter to be sent FREE of charge, they agreed and sent a replacement dairy door and adaptor.
I received the adaptor with no instructions and proceeded to replace the filter, mind you I threw out the old filter when I got the new one. Now I have no filtered water and oh no ice because the water for the ice maker goes through the water filter...

THE FILTER DOES NOT WORK EVEN WITHT HE ADAPTOR!!! I called sears again htye were going to do research on the parts to make sure they were indeed correct part. This research process was to take 5-10 days according to the rep. I place the research order on 3-25-09. Well I contact sears today 4-9-00 to discover that they had no record of a research request. Process started all over agin. I have no filtered water and we have been purchasing ice for nearly a month now. Sear apologized and offered to sent a service person out at a charge of $70.00 plus parts... At this point I am desperate and schedule the call for 8 am - 5pm all day wait. They are suppose to come tomorrow to TELL ME THE PART IS NOT CORRECT at a charge of $70.00

Sears should send the repair person out FREE of CHARGE and stp putting ONCE LOYAL customer through the ringer!!
