I did a search on deadbeat parent reporting out of frustration for my good friend and her three kids who have gone through hell because of one man. Maybe this will help the courts catch up with him, who knows. I'm writing for a friend of mine and her three kids who were abandoned 10 years ago by David J McCabe. They lived near us in Sheridan, WY and he sold insurance, investing and did estate planning. Pretty successful guy from all we heard. He abandoned ship and has dodged child support enforcement caseworkers (Sheridan, WY—I think her name is Debbie Dooley, Child Support Enforcement Case Worker) for 10 years, and still has not complied with his support payments.
Supposedly David lives in Longmont, CO (or Denver area) and he now owes over $80,000 in back child support payments, and over $30,000 in other court ordered obligations for these children. He hasn't ever willingly lifted a finger to pay without force from the courts... And then hides/dodges his obligations. I guess he has told everyone a different sob story for empathy, yet he is the one who has ruined those 4 people's lives and they were just stunned and in shock for many years.
Along with this, David has very recently and in the past, stolen identities of family members (and possibly others) in order to extend credit to himself. He is slick, sick and good at what he does best (lying). I know I had no idea that he would do these things to them. He was such a charming guy. No one could believe it.
When will he quit? She told me that his parents said he's living with people who own Kansas City Life Insurance Company???
I've known these kids and my friend for a long time. Their lives have been so negatively affected by this abandonment and fall into financial ruin, that they will never be the same again. They lost everything they had and my friend worked herself almost to the grave in order to keep some kind of roof over their heads and so the kids could get counseling for some healing. Good thing they had a strong mom to rely on. The only thing she did wrong was to trust someone who ended up like this. They are awesome people and deseved so much better than this.
