I applied for a systems librarian job (or so I thought) at NWACC last fall. The truth of the matter is, I was NEVER told that it was really an access services librarian position until after having been hired. That's right — I was never told about this in the job interview.
This past winter, I was FIRED from this job — all because NWACC's human resources department couldn't get a job description right. I left a very secure (albeit low-paying) job back in St. Louis to take that job. Now, I am unemployed with only 5 months worth of work to show for it and no one will hire me for ANYTHING anymore. My life has now been absolutely RUINED by those incompetents they hired for HR personnel!
