This company called into my department and spoke with our Buyer, she told her that a deceased man had ordered an updated copy of a business to business directory.
Our employee informed this person that this was impossible and we were not interested in receiving any directory.
A few weeks later, we rec'd a directory with an invoice totalling over $350.00 for a directory that we never ordered.
The woman called informing her that she had her on-tape and it is a verbal contract. When listening to this tape, it is very obvious that they cut and pasted the tape to make it sound as
though our buyer authorized something... When she did not.
We informed her that we never authorized the purchase of the directory. She was nasty with us and demanded to speak to me and then I told her that she would need to deal with our attorneys and I gave the information to our financial controller.
She called again today and I will not speak with her and she is not getting paid. This is harrassment and I won't tolerate these low-life's trying to con honest, hard-working companies... I am just disgusted.
