Tahiti Village Consoildated Resorts
Scam done through Free tickets to see Resort

In June we were in LasVegas, there were many offers from Time Share Reps. We decided to see a comedy show. The time share rep stated that this was a good show to see and that this comedian gives a lot of things away. The offer was to follow up with appointment to see Tahiti Village / Consolidated Resorts. We went to the comedy show and the comedian was telling jokes and giving away dinners, tickets for other Broadway shows. The comedian then stated to the audience that everyone could come back on him

. There was cards to fill out your contact information on. After returning back home we received a call that stated they *Tahiti Village wanted to set up a time for us to come out to enjoy our 3 days at their resort. But you had to give a deposit of $98 and that this would be return when you came to visit the resort. We paid deposit and set a date for 7/27/09.4weeks before we were to leave we received a conformation call to verify that we were coming for 3 free days I stated yes we will be there. The customer service rep stated that they would reconfirm in 2 weeks, I asked what for I stated that I would be there. 3 weeks before trip we received a call from Summer Bay Resorts; they stated that Tahiti Village had gone out of business and that they received the deposit on behalf of the customers that were booked to see Tahiti Village. They offered the same offer 3 free nights, money to gamble and the renewing of wedding vows. But there was no deposit needed as they received deposit from Tahiti Village. I placed them on hold and called Tahiti Village received message that this number is no longer in service. Clicked back over to Summer Bay and stated that we would take them up on the offer as we had all ready booked flight tickets. We had decide to stay in Vegas for a full week and call the hotel that we often stay at the customer service rep stated that she had never heard of Summer Bay Village and it would be a good idea to reserve a room for a week just in case it did not work out with Summer Bay. 7/27/09 we arrive in Vegas and go to Summer Bay. It did not look like the internet picture. We were asked for our name then told we would be taken to check in. A golf cart pulled up to take us 18 steps. We go inside to check in, there were a lot of people there who were loud going behind the check in desk. I had no idea who worked there who was just hanging around. I did not feel safe. We were then told that there was a deposit of $100 I asked for what you stated that you received deposit from Tahiti Village. We were told by the desk clerk when you go to your meeting you will get that money back. After stating to clerk so what is $100 deposit for clerk stated this is policy and I know nothing about us receiving a deposit from Tahiti Village. At this point is when it dawned on me this is a scam. My husband gave credit card to desk clerk I stated to her don't swipe that card I need to make a phone call. Clerk looked at me and swipe card and stated that it could not be canceled. I call my credit card company and had it canceled on the spot and with that we left and went to the hotel we stay at while in Las Vegas. I'm thinking that Tahiti Village is closed, but while at the hotel a bus comes up to pick up couples to take them to see Tahiti Village. I spoke to the bud driver who was kind enough to give me paperwork for pickup times to see Tahiti Village driver stated it is very nice. There was a different number given 702-284-7200 called this number and got a Mangers voice mail. I know this information and e-mail is long. But I did not see a post about this and I sure others are going through this or been through this I am trying to get my deposit back from T/V. I have been in contact with BBBof Las Vegas who stated their hands are tied. And I have tried District Aturney Katherine MASTO. She is never available. Class Action Law Suit is needed to stop this issue
