Verizon fios customer service - fios bundle

I let myself be talked into Verizon Fios. We were already using Verizon for internet and phone, and they offered a better price for the bundle that included TV. That was three weeks ago.

The service itself is good, although not nearly as fast as they said it would be, and the new router won't work well in some rooms where it worked before. But that's not my big isue. My issue is that the software they downloaded onto my laptop has crashed my computer!

The Verizon tech downloaded software onto my laptop from his own thumb drive and everything worked fine at first. But the first time I rebooted, my computer refused to restart. The user profile was corrupted and wouldn't load, making the computer unusable.

I spent $200 yesterday on a computer repair guy but the problem still isn't fixed. It ran for a few hours, but the CTRL ALT DET function wasn't working and every time a program locked up (about once every ten minutes) I had to reboot. The most recent time I rebooted the profile wouldn't load again.

My laptop is just over a year old and has had no problems up to this point. I run virus scans at least weekly.

The tech wouldn't go so far as to blame Verizon — he said there was no way to tell — but my computer worked just fine before they installed their software on it.

I haven't reported this to Verizon yet, but I'm certainly going to.in the meantime, DON'T LET THEM INSTALL THEIR SOFTWARE ON YOUR COMPUTER!!!
