CVS phamacist attempts to intimidate customer with threats and accusations

Yesterday June 12 my wife took my prescription for methadone to the pharmacy at this CVS at Cortaro and Silverbell. She didn't know that I had not yet filled it because it was few days early. She was doing me a favor as I napped away the afternoon.

I have been on methadone for over two years for neuropathy. During that time I have always used either the CVS store in question, a Walgreens near my home or Sams on Thornydale. No one ever said I was required by law to use a single pharmacy.

My wife came home in tears. When I could finally get the story out of her, it went like this: The pharmacist on duty suspected foul play and apparently took it upon himself to investigate me by calling Walgreens and who knows who else. He discovered that I had filled my medications at Walgreens in the past, and this was "proof" he said... To my wife, that I am a drug abuser. Furthermore he stated that I can only use one pharmacy, and that it is the law, and that he knows I know that.

My wife told the pharmacist to give back the Rx and that no one had done anything wrong. The pharmacist told her not to try and fill it elsewhere. He said that he was putting out an alert to all Walgreens and CVS pharmacies about my drug seeking. He also scribbled "too soon" on the Rx and wrote down the date that the med could be filled, July 16th. This alert stuff, is an un necessary embarrassment and amounts to telling all other pharms that I am a suspected or confirmed drug abuser. This is crap. I do not abuse my meds, period, end of story.

BTW, the med was prescribed at my doctors office July 10th.

After I get this from my wife, I call this guy to ask him what his problem is and why does he have me under surveillance. He denies any wrong doing and he also insists that I call him Doctor. I told him he was on a power trip and this guy asks me if I want him to call the DEA! I told him to go ahead and I would be contacting his district manager. I then hung up the phone on this person, I had had enough of him.

All this guy ever had to do was say he could not fill the Rx until Thursday and say why. That's it. I would have been absolutely fine with that. Am I missing something here? Is something more required? Am I wrong, is this guy a super pharmacist and I'm just thin skinned?

But no, not this guy, no way. Apparently he has some authority issues or something, because he acted more like a prosecutor than a pharmacist. He had no reason to suspect anything.

So what is the deal? DO I have to take the pills remaining from the previous months Rx to the pharmacy because some megalomaniac pharmacists has decided that his license extends into law enforcement or something?

I'm really P.O.D. I don't like having CVS question my honesty. I will follow up with whatever CVS does or says. This nut doesn't need to work in a position of power because it clearly goes to his head.
