Everything that you said above is true. I interviewed for this company about 6 mos ago when looking for a job. Of course, made it to the second round of interviews, however, once they told me that i needed to show up for the 2nd interview at 9am and stay until 5 or 6, i declined because i still had a full-time job and i thought that was ridiculous.
The whole interview process sent up red flags to me because:
1) the receptionist was way too in the know about interviews, as if all she did all day was schedule interviews and answer questions (which it turns out was true!)
2) the office had a piece of paper with the company name written on it
3) the office did not look like a functioning office—if you know what i mean... A little too staged, but no actual work going on, just empty filing cabinets, etc
4) the receptionist probably made about 50 interview appointments while i was waiting for my interview (in about a 20 min time frame)—who is THAT successful, i mean REALLY!
5) everyone had a brief 5-10 min interview, and they didnt seem to really ask you ANYTHING or care about your answers...
6) after you left the interview, you didnt exactly know what the job was... All their answers to my questions were extremely vague.
Luckily, i didnt got to the 2nd round of interviews, because i didnt have a warm and fuzzy feeling about it... And i was just looking for jobs and found some more postings on monster, craigslist, etc, so i decided to google it and found this.
Do not even go to the first interview! You'd be better off going to a temp agency if you are completely desperate!
