I received an alert that I was in the negative on my credit card. I logged in to my account and saw that I had a suspicious $9.95 charge from *Fun Family Awards. After Googling it, I discovered it was something tied into JC Penney. I had purchased something on line toward the beginning of but certainly did not sign up for any type of rewards program... Can't afford it and I have no local family to use any kind of family awards program anyway.
I tried calling JC Penny and was referred to call 888-527-6839 as it's a 3rd party program. Never did I sign up, yet when I researched the details on my credit card, it showed that I'd manually typed my credit card # in. Heck, I did that when I bought my bathroom accessories from JC Penney's on-line, but certainly not for any kind of Fun Family Rewards bogus program. You can bet, I'll be calling my credit card company first thing in the morning for several of these bogus charges going back several months!
