I started work for americas marketing services on 6/01/09. I signed a w9 form and contract for hire on 6/01/09. I performed my duties as stated in contract. I worked a total of 20 hours for the week. I turned in my time sheet to be paid for my services on 6/05/09. I am due $200.00 for the week of 6/01/09 - 6/05/09.20 hours a week. Break that down to 4 hours of calling a day. 5 days a week. Monday thru friday.
I received a phone call from her vice president of operations (jeania bratton) on 6/08/09. Jeania informed me that i was not getting paid for my time that i turned in on 6/05/09. I asked her why and she told me that she really didn't know why, that i needed to contact carolyn hambleton (president of americas marketing services) so she could explain why i was not getting paid. I have placed numerous calls to carolyn hambleton, all have been unanswered or forwarded, and i have sent several emails, pertaining to this situation, all have been unanswered.
As of 6/10/09, i still have not received payment for my services rendered. I will be filing a complaint with the labor board of georgia and i encourage all who have been affected by this scam artist to do the same. I will be intouch with her state legislatures, and government offices to put a stop to this kind of unprofessionalisam and taking advantage of peoples lively hood.
