Direct tv and dell was involved in a ripoff scam. They set up a website to give a $200 rebate on purchase of an lcd tv through dell, and sign up for direct tv to qualify. They never paid the rebates, i filed complaint with michigan attorney general's office. Now michigan attorney general and other states have grouped together to file a class action lawsuit against dell. However, i disconnected direct tv immediately when they did not send rebate, and due to extreme service interruptions, with no repair from direct tv. They are now trying to bill me, even though i returned all equipment and it was they who broke the contract!!! Now they have turned this over to collection and i am afraid it will damage my credit report.
