CFC advertises that they have a pool that is open during the summer months which I might add just began on Memorial day and extends through Labor Day which is pretty typical. However, today my first opportunity to go down to the pool, a sign is up saying that it is closed. There is no reason states it's just chained. So I called the office and the lady said that a maintenance man "might" be coming out today to put chemicals in it so it's closed. If he "may not" actually be coming out today that there is in fact no reason for it to be closed and perhaps it should be closed when someone actually comes to administer the chemicals. The lady that I spoke with was very rude and then after we had talked for over 5 minutes about why the pool was supposedly closed then she made up some story about there being a baby in the pool the day before with no diaper on. If that was in fact true why was the pool still open after 11pm last night when it is scheduled to close at 10pm? So she expected me to believe that sometime between 11pm and 8am they magically found out that a diaper-less baby was in the pool yesterday. I have a hard time believing that. So my roommate called back to see if we could use a pool at one of their other properties since they had robbed us of the opportunity of using ours for the day. They put her on hold for 10 minutes and then when they finally came back said we could drive down to the office (20 minutes away) get a key for a different complex (that's another 15 minutes away from the office) and use there pool but we had to return the key by 5pm or leave it in their drop box. It is my opinion that they wanted to inconvenience us as much as possible so that we didn't come by and get the key at all. If they were trying to be helpful, they would have let us use the pool that is located in the complex where the office is located but that's obviously not what they were trying to do. I don't understand why they are so unwilling to help the residents in this community.
We had a shower that leaked for months and months all over the shower floor, etc and they didn't bother to actually fix it until they did an apartment tour of our apartment and amazingly it was actually fixed the next day. They have no desire to keep the residents that they currently have or to give them the services and amenities that they claim to have when they are trying to sell you the apartment. It's even more clear that they lie to prospective renters because they told some people touring our apartment that my room has a "spacious closet" which couldn't possibly be true because over half of what looks like a closet in my room is actually the water heater. They have unethical business practices and expect their residents to pay the price once they are foolish enough to sign a lease with them.
