Wal-Mart customer service

In March we went to the local walmart and put an engagement ring and two wedding bands on layaway. The engagement ring was sent off to be sized. When it came back we received a courtesy call and we went in and I tried it on - it fit perfectly. At the same time we paid off the bands and put the engagement ring back on layaway. On June 26 we went to Walmart to get my engagement ring and a few other items. When we approached the counter we were greeted with a glare and "What are you doing!?"... I said "excuse me?"."What do you want, I mean how can I help you". I said we were there to pick my ring up off layaway. The woman could not find it. They had 3 people looking and it was nowhere to be found. I was badgered with questions to remember who the associate was that helped me with it the last time we were in. Not once did I get an ounce of sympathy or I'm sorry from this woman. I was in tears. I had to walk away eventually and left my fiance to deal with it. The end result is it was replaced with an identical ring but too small. They said it would take up to another 10 days for resizing. My fiance said no and made them write a note saying we would be reimbursed for resizing which they did. They gave us a $25 gift card like it made everything better to have to shop there more. We still had to find a jeweler, leave it with them, go back to get it and yet again return to Walmart for reimbursement. It's 1 month before our wedding - we shouldn't have to run around doing this stuff when it was already sized etc. Not to mention the extremely rude customer service. As a side note, we decided to use the $25 gift card and get it out of the way. We spent just over the $25 and went to the checkout. The card was only for $20. I paid the $5 but my fiance took the card and slip and went to see the assistant manager and we ended up getting the $5 cash back but not without pushing for it. This was the worst experience I've ever had. What was supposed to be a special exciting moment for me that I would cherish for the rest of my life was completely ruined and trashed by this woman in a matter of minutes. I would have been disappointed but it would have been easier to come to terms with had I been treated with respect and some sympathy was shown.instead I was treated like an inconvenience and like it didn't matter that they lost my engagement ring. I will never shop there again.
