Ecently purchased 2 bedroom sets from Ashley Furn. Loved them both had a problem with one. I have learned in the past to charge everything on my American Express Card. So when the 2 sets came one was ok. The other had a discolored headboard instead of beige like the rest of the set it was peach as plain as day they told me no its the lighting. Then why dosen't all the other pieces look peach. (duh). Even my husband noticed and that's saying a lot. No need to get upset American Exp to the rescue. I put the charges in dispute and even though they expected me to keep the defective headboard i guess once Amer Exp was looking to refund me $800.00 for damaged furniture they changed their tune and decided to replace it. My blood pressure stayed fine as my credit card comp battled on my behalf, the true power of plastic. The lesson for Ashley furniture is to never doubt the power of a consumer. We saw these bedroom sets in two different locations, the total pieces between two sets were eleven all the same color except the one headboard. I am very educated as to what colors are and so are most 5 year old's, so don't tell this 49 year old who has furnished 3 homes that she dose not know peach when she sees it. My estimation was that the furniture was damaged and repaired it in the hopes that the next person it was shipped to would just except it (wrong) when you buy new you should get new not repaired. Shame on them for even trying that.
