My baby kitten Tobi was purchased from Rottins and was supposed to have a health certificate for a year. After 48 hours of receiving him we took him to the vet because of his symptoms. Turns out he had Giardia, infectious to humans. He also had a Staph infection, URI, the runs, and a low immune system! After a course of antibiotics he seemed to get a bit better. Suddenly he took a turn for the worst.
Then I got the most heartbreaking call ever. He was positive for the Corona virus. The vet said 80-90% of cats from catteries will get infected with it. It is like Aids in the human body! What is worse, it spreads rapidly among cats. My baby Binks who is 7 was exposed for almost 2 months. My whole family is devistated. We have exceeded the amount we payed for the cat in vet bills. What a slap in the face.
She claims no responsability for him having this virus and say's it didnt come from her cattery. How many other families will she sell sick cats too? She breeds dogs too! I dont care about the thousands of dollars spent on my Tobi. I want justice. What happened to human compassion. All she said is I hope he gets better. Tobi passed away yesterday. My heart split down the middle. One of the hardest things to go through. We were soo attatched to our little baby. Rip 12-27-08 4-24-09. I hope my mother is holding him in her arms in heaven.
