Another Rip Off by EBI

I will keep this very short and simple.

I sprained a ligament in my knee. My orthopedic doctor recommended a brace. It is a BAUERFEIND-GENUTRAIN-S, distributed by EBI.

I later received a bill for $251.71. I called my insurance to see why they hadn't paid it. They said they did pay THEIR share and that was what I was responsible for. They told me the brace was billed to them for $750.95!!!

I knew that was not only an insane but CRIMINAL price for the brace.

I complained to EBI and she said that was the cost for it.

I found it on line... The EXACT same brace... Retail cost...$179.95!!!

I have sent this information to EBI and so far have not heard back but will continue to fight this.

Warning to all... EBI is a huge ripoff company. Tell all! And I guess never let a doctor "give" you a brace of any kind until you look it up on line.
