My doctor, a hand specialist, prescribed a wrist/thumb brace. He provided the brace, but told me it would be billed through a separate company. As I had previously had a similar brace and paid under thirty dollars for it, I did not question him about it.
The bill for a simple hand brace from EBI was $110.50. I checked on the web, and the average price is about $25. The highest I found anywhere was $56.
This company is a huge ripoff.
