ID Sentinal Alert - United Benefits
Stole Money Using My Debit Card Number I did Not Give To Them

My Checking account charged $5.95 and $6.95 by Companies Called ID Sentinal Alert and United Benefits in March via my Debit Card. I did not recognize the companies and filed a complaint with my bank. I called the 800 numbers my bank had on record for these companies and complained. My account was credited the amounts and I was told that I would not have this happen again.

My Checking account was then charged $29.95 and $19.95 by these companies in April. Now I am concerned. I called the bank and they told me I had to contact the companies again to ask for a credit. When I called this time, I realized that these 2 companies were actually 1 company with two different names and 800 numbers. The representive said that my account was closed and the amounts were refunded.

That was over a week ago... The amounts weren't credited. When I called back to ID Sentinal and United Benefits they said that they issued the credits and it was my banks fault that the amounts weren't credited. When I asked them how they got my information... First they said that it was from a magazine subscription, then when I said I don't have any magazine subscriptions they said it was from my credit card company... When I told them I didn't have a credit card company she said that I authorized the charges over the phone for Identity Protection.

I had received a telemarketing call on my cell phone a month earlier... I remember because I found it strange that I got a call like that on my cell... I told the woman on the phone that I had to pick up my kids from school and hung up on her. I assume that is the phone call this company is referencing... Since I don't have a home phone.

Now isn't that crazy? They steal my account information and make fraudulent charges but they Sell Identity Protection!

Needless to say... I still haven't recovered my money. I called these companies Again and they would not give me their address... Only a PO Box.

Beware of ID SENTINAL ALERT and UNITED BENEFITS! If I didn't check my bank accounts regularly... They could have stolen ALOT more... Now I have had to close my accounts! What a scary deal!
