Ripoff. Withdrew $87 from checking account without permission

I checked my checking account online yesterday and noticed 2 pre-authorized withdrawls from my account in the amounts of $87 and $94. I immediately called my credit union to dispute this and seek advice on if I should close my account and open a new one. They gave me the phone number of where the money went to. So I called the number and they said they were a third party customer service company who withdrew the money from my account for 2 other companies.

She then gave me the names and phone numbers of both these companies. I asked her how this could happen because I never spoke with a telemarketer or filled out anything. She said that I would have to call the phone numbers and find out. However, the names on the withdrawls did not match my name and she said that it seemed strange.

So, I called the first company, Prime One Benefits, and asked them what the heck was going on with this. She danced around all of my questions and I could not get any answers. I told her to take my name out of thier database.

Anyways, when telemarketers call my house I hang up the phone. I haven't talked to a telemarketer in years. The kicker to this is that the Prime One withdrawl was under my father's name. I have the same name as my father, but I am the fourth and he is the third. My phone bill is also in my father's name. He hasn't lived with us for over 15 years. So I am thinking that the Prime One telemarketer kept trying to call the house to pitch thier scam, but could never get through because I always hang up on telemarketers, so they decided to go forward with thier scam anyways, without ever talking to me or anyone in the household, and put it down in my father's name because it is on the phone bill.

I know this may sound confusing, and it still is to me as well. I just cannot understand how these companies can go into your checking account and withdrawl money without ever speaking to me, or signing anything. Something needs to be done about this.
