I signed up for a no obligation trial for two packs of coffee. I thought the deal was $5 for the coffee, 2 travel tumblers and a set of 2 ceramic mugs. It turned out to be $25 (5 itmes @ $5 ea). There was no invoice in the package so I did not realize this until I got my credit card bill.
Next I received another package of 2 coffees, which I never asked for. Again no invoice was included. My wife called customer service to ask about it. She was informed that we were registered for their coffee club. SHe said we do not want it. So they said they'd cancell it. They never told her how to return the unwanted coffee. When the credit card bill arrived, there was $38.95 charge. I called the company again and was told it was $12.50 per coffee plus $6.98 per pack shipping and handling.
I said I did not want it. He said I could return it in the original package no chagre. Of course by then I no longer had the envelop. He refused to send me a free shipping label and that I would have to pay all shipping charges for the return. I said this was unfair. He said it was their policy. I said I was going to complain about their service. He did not care.
I filed a dispute with my credit card company and am waiting for some resolution.
There are numerous complaints about Seattle Coffee, Bellezza Coffee and Metro Coffee Roasters on the web. I wish I had checked befor egiving them my credit card number.
