Premier Home Show is a total scam and took money from our company and my subcontractors. The process worked like this. They sent a sales representative to explain the process and they told us that it would not cost us nearly anything. Their job was to find companies and sell homebuilders a 30-minute infomercial that would air in 60-90 days. Once we signed up, another sales rep traveled to our office and solicited funds from our company, subcontractors and vendors, in order to pay for the show. Everything seemed great and we thought they would help us generate new business.
Then the last salesperson quit and we got another sales representative and she continued to solicit our subs and vendors. She took checks from us and our subs, about $15,000.initially, she mentioned that they would need $40,000 to produce the video and have several commercials for us. If she didn't reach that amount from her solicitation, she would give the money back to us.
Then her boss, Brad Huard, got involved and promised us that they will still do the video and give us a commercial for $15,000. So we thought, he would come to shoot the video for us. Well that was when everything went downhill, he kept telling us that they will be coming up to our location and film our model homes every month.
My staff, subs, vendors and I continued to call him and he continued lying to us. Never returning our calls. We signed a contract in October and almost a year and half later, they still have not come up. We realized that they where a big scam. Also, they took one of our subs' credit card and charged him $700 for a logo that he did not agree for. Laura, from PHS, promised that he will be credited his card that week and they have still not credited his account.
We had our local sheriff call them to either produce for us or return our money and still they have not done anything. Our business has fallen to due to the economic situation and $15,000 of our money is really needed. This is wrong and Brad Huard defrauded us from the beginning.
I wonder how many companies similar to ours they have scammed as well. I have found one already that was out $40K and we are building a case for criminal fraud charges. I did not become aware of the tactics this company used until late November. At that point it became clear that Brad was not only embezzling from his own company but also completely misappropriating funds for his own gain.
