The so called "New AT&T" is just as bad if not worse than the old AT&T - BEWARE. Several months ago, I let a very pushy ATT contract sales person talk me into switching my serices from Time Warner. It was a disaster from the very start. I asked very specific questions about the quality of the service and was assured all the former problems I had were corrected. That turned out to be untrue.
Also when the installer arrived - he broughtthe wrong converter bx. I ordered a DVR - did I get that? NO. He said someone would be ack with the DVR within the week. Did anyone come - NO. I gave it a few more days and called the company. The answer I got was..."you were supposed to call and tell us you wanted it... DUH! It was on my order form. Then they said they would ship it and I would have to install it.
I am a 59 year old grandmother - I can see me crawling around on the floor and behind TV cabinets to install it. Then when I told her I was having problems losing my TV service when it rained - her very sarcastic response was "Well... It doesn't rain every day"!!! That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I cancelled the service. ATT sent me a cancellation bill for $250. I sent them a letter disputing the charge. Did I hear back from them - AGAIN NO!!! They called in a jack leg law firm to threaten me.
When I sent them a letter explaining the situation and asking for their help in resolving, I got a letter back stating.."we completed your requst for verification of the debt and we verified ATT sent you a bill. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE about this type of thing.
