I was in desperate need for a job after being unemployed for about 5 months. I applied to a million places and New Edge was the first to call back. I received a message on my voicemail from Erika (the supposed HR dept.) that her boss (Karla) had gotten my resume and was extremely impressed and needed me to come in ASAP. I went the next day and had all of about a 2 minute interview. I was immediately invited back for a second interview the next day. I was told I would be following around a leader so that I could see if the "job" was for me.
I was also told during that interview as well as in the ad I answered that gas bonuses as well as paid medical and dental were part of the "package". I show up the next day and meet Mike (very flamboyant gay guy) and I was basically stuck with him all day long. He was very good at manipulating the customers into longer contracts with ATT without directly saying it was a new contract.
The whole day he bragged how had only been with the company a few months and that he was on his way to become an assitant manager and that he bought his first house and car already and yada yada yada.
At the end of the day we go back to the office and I was offered a position. I accepted not cause of anything other than I actually say this guy was able to do and figured I need a job if he can do it so can I.
I have now been here a few months and hate every minute of it. Everyone lies and backstabs and does what it takes to "get ahead". Karla runs meetings every morning for the leaders and talks about work ethic and integrity and if you dont have it you'll never succeed at anything in life.
I have not made a sale in my last 5 days cause the top 3 reps in the office have all worked that territory very recently. They say it's not the territory it's you. Any complaint you have they tell you take resposibility don't blame anyone but yourself.
It is all very cult like. I have read so much about CYDCOR and it's affiliates today that I am going back to the office (oh yeah I'm supposed to be "working" right now but I'm sick and was told I needed to have work ethic to go out and be positive, I went home instead to find a new job) to tell Karla to shove it up her ugly arse. That all she has done is lie and try and brainwash the few decent people. I have had one good paycheck since I have started here and 40% of it got taken in taxes. I file single with 0 dependants yet some how my tax bracket is 40%.
We also have Julie Edmonds (senior national consultant) in our office. She runs supposedly a big chunk of offices and I've never seen her do anything but come into the office and push us all to make more $.
The sister company to us is NIKO-LAOS and Eddie Sardinha (supposed ex baseball player) comes to preach to us all the time to get us to "step it up". Uses is supposed baseball career to "motivate" everyone. Little does he know that my father (real ex baseball player and coach) and I are very huge into baseball and when neither of us heard of him, looked him and guess what yet another lie!!!
Don't waste your time with Cydcor or any of their sister companies. They only promote true morons who "believe" in the "system" to further their agenda and make THEM money.
