I am a mother of two beautiful children, skyler (4) and Alexis (2) i was married to a man that i know wasnt the best man but he was all i had at the time. Now - in july of this year i was working TWO full time jobs because my ex was unwilling to work. I worked from 2pm-9pm and then from 11pm to 7am everyday except sunday. The DSHS in my area denied me childcare because my husband at the time wasnt working and so while i was at work i had no other option but to have him watch my kids while i came home during my breaks to check on them to make sure the diapers were changed and make them food and change my clothes and put them to bed. Now - on july 17th the police came to my home under a false statement about POT. My husband at that point admitted that i knew nothing about what he was doing with his extra time. (selling small ammounts of pot from my home while i was at work) the police then searched my home - tearing things out of dressers - flipping my couches on end and throwing things out of closets. Then once they were satisfied - called cps who, when they came accused ME of living in a messy home and NEGLECTING my children because i was having my husband watch my children while i worked two jobs, and he was unfit - therefore making ME neglectful. How dare i work to support my family and think that my husband would take care of my children? And now - im still tring to get them returned - cps will not return my calls, my visit superviser has to call ME instead of my worker to find out visit times - and places. Thank god that when they were taken they were placed with family that they know because CPS had planned on ripping them from their family and tearing them apart so they knew no one. Now does that really seem like their motto? In the best intrests of the CHILDREN AND FAMILY?!?!?! They have given me a million things to do that all cost me money on top of now paying child support for my kids that should have never been removed from my care. I have filed for divorce, i take random UA's im in drug co dependancy treatment, parenting classes and i am complying with EVERYTHING they have told me to do - yet i have to wait till FEB. 19 2009 to find out if they are going to be returned to me. This is a good idea at the core - help children in a bad situation, but then they go nuts with it, take kids that are healthy and well taken care of so they can get some extra government funding? Hurt more familys that dont deserve it? Its just wrong and i hope no one has to feel the pain and horror that i do every morning when i wake up and dont get to see my babies, or make them get dressed, or help them with puzzles or get them juice and luch. It kills me every single day. They took away my life and my reason for living, i simply dont know what else to do but jump through the hoops and pray.
