I got an HP Pavillon with two Disc drives and a 19 inch monitor from CONN'S in June for $999.99. So far I have paid $1,146.00, plus $200.00 for Insurance that I never used which expired after 1 year. I wanted to put the $200.00 down on the computer, but the sales guy kept telling me to buy the insurance. I have been paying on this everymonth until august.
As of 12/11/08 iam four months behind and they say I still owe $885.78, which would mean i have paid for the cost of two computers and recieved only one. The price never seemed to go down as long as i paid it, in fact it seemed like it only increased by large amounts. Now they sent me a letter that was in Neighbors mailbox without a date on it and said I have 24 hrs to make payment arrangements or they will reposses it or take other actions by law.
I don't even know when the letter was sent. Before my Tel. No. Was changed they would call and mask their no.'s. The interest onthis computer is than my student loan. Could please tell me what to do because something doesn't seem right. And the last rep I had spoken to in july said he had seen Many other customers accounts delinqent for 10 months before any action was taken. I don't think I being treated fairly, because my account is only 4 months past due, and I'm not working now.
