I got my new Verizon FIOS connection in October.
I did the whole process over the phone with a Verizon Retail Store (Located in Jersey City at Verizon Retail Store 30 Montgomery St
Jersey City, NJ 07302 #201-433-2044).
The sales rep quoted me a total monthly bill of $ 105.98 (Tax and other Surcharges. Which he said should be around $ 12 per month)
The bill includes my FIOS Extreme Triple Play Plan with an additional set top box for my 2nd TV. And he said the 1st set top box is included in $ 99.99 monthly charges. Plus $ 5.99 for the additional set top box = 105.98 per month.
But when I get my Bill in mail, I see that they have charged me for both the set top boxes ($5.99 x 2 = $11.98) and my bill turned out to be $ 111.97 Taxes.
I tried calling back the above store but the representative who assisted me is never available at the store and his colleagues say that only he can help me (Which sounds really weird to me).
I tried calling Verizon FIOS Customer Service, those people were even rude.
When I told them that I have been cheated about the bill and I shall file a consumer complaint. This is what they quoted "That you can not do that as you do not have any proof to prove yourself."
