I was given a quote of 1195.27 for my NY to Fl move. My belongings were picked up by a completely different company than I contracted with and AFTER they had picked up my belongings I was given a new price of 2543.42. I was told after a few days that if I didnt pay this entire new amount that my belongings would be put in storage at an astronomical fee and I might never get them back. Basically my belongings were held for ransom.
I had set a date of Oct 17th for my belongings to get toi my location and they got there a 2 days early (I had not even gotten into the state yet). Many of my belongings were broken or damaged (My sons crib - broken, my sons dresser - scratched and the legs broken, my dresser badly scratched, computer desk completely destroyed).
Before the pick up I was treated with respect but once they had my belongings they were rude, disrepectful and even on many occasions used profanity towords me!!! I believe this is what is called "bait and switch". Since the move I have tried many times to complain to them, get a partial refund, get my belongings replaced and I will get hung up on as soon as they know that the move has already taken place and thet they got my money! Be careful! Do not let them do this to you! I can't even get them on the phone long enough to discuss some kind of agreement!
