August 18th, my wife found this web site on myspace.com and decided it sounded to be a good deal. On the web site of Seattle Coffee Direct, it was advertised buy 5 things for $5 a piece. So, my wife did that and they took out the $25 on the 18th. On August 22nd, Seattle Coffee took out another $38.95 for no reason. That same day, I called them and asked them why they took out more money and cancelled the order. They excplained to that we had some how signed up for monthly coffee and I tould them that now where on their web page did it say anything about signing up for monthly coffee. They told me it was in the terms and conditions.
They told me in order to get my refund that I would have to send back the coffee and the 5 things for $5 a piece before they would issue a refund. I decided I was going to visit the exact web page that my wife did to check it out. I found the same page and there was not a terms and conditions on the page. On Sept. 1st, my father in law sent the coffee packages back to Seattle Coffee Direct.
The packages arrived on Sept 8th with a signature. I called them Sept 9th and ask them for my money back and they told me that they have not recieved the packages yet. I then explained to them that I had tracked it and it was delivered and signed for, I could even see the actual signature. They then told me that they would issue a refund. I asked them how long it would take to get my money back. They replied that it would take 5 to 7 business days.
It is Sept 18th and I check my account online this morning and of course, the money has not yet been refunded back into my account. I called again and this time they told me that it takes 7 to 10 business days, not 5-7. So now I have to wait again. I don't think I will ever see my money again though.
I have learned that if you are going to buy any thing online from any company, check them out first. Google their name and you will see alot of things. I suggest reading them before you decide to buy some thing.
