A bill came in the mail of a credit card I never use (and thought I had closed). On it were just three charges. All three were for Magazine subscriptions that I never signed up to renew. A total of $106 was charged.
The descriptions each started with TWX and had little detail as to what I had been charged for. My Credit Card Statement had three phone #'s to call for each charge 800-642-564,800-205-9198, & 800-973-2664. All led me to the same INSANE voice mail system. There are no human operators to reach, it just keeps going and going and going. I tried for two hours to reach someone to speak with. It was pointless.
I then called one of the magazines directly and asked what company did the renewal (she politely told me that I would have to contact that company to cancel my renewal). I was given a new phone number 877-813-0320. With hope I called, only to get the EXACT same voice system.
I've now called my credit card company and am filing a fraud case to have the charges removed and then will cancel this credit card.
