Financial sweepstakes scam

In the mail today received by my 18 yr old daughter a letter claiming she had won 2nd place in the us mega draw for $750,000.00

Included was a check for $3700.00 drawn on wachovia bank
it is anotherone of those scams this time they are using an international phone number instead of a canadian one
they claim the reason for the $3700.00 check is help cover processing fees

I just wanted to alert anybody who receives this notice
