I ordered a magazine from a salesperson who canvassed the neighborhood, Frank Lacko. The subscription came from Lone Star Subscriptions. This was on March 3. I was promised the Elle Decor subscription within 120 days. I called the company and finally after numerous phone calls, reached a Brandy who assured me that the problem was with the particular magazine and not them. This call occurred on 7/28/08 @ 1400 pm. I asked for a refund and my request for refund was denied by Brandy. Brandy stated I would receive a letter within 10 days stating the Elle Decor magazine failed to deliver. If I was unhappy with the state of the subscription, I could then ask for a refund. Today's date is 8/18/08 and I still have no letter. No one answers at the telephone number. I have prepared a report to file to the County District Attorney Consumer Fraud Division in attempt to obtain my money back ($68.00). I do not want the subscription, just a refund.
