Westgate employees certainly know how to snag you. They tell you about all of the wonderful benefits of ownership. Then only AFTER signing the paperwork, you realize you were had. I immediately looked over all of the documents we had... And there were many! I looked all over for a rescission policy. I finally found it-not directly above our signatures (as it should be by law). They were tucked away in a very slim, almost invisible pocket in the case they gave us. Please be aware that the rescission address on those papers was not a valid address. I looked it up on USPS.com to verify the zip code, only to find out that the whole address was invalid. Upon trying to contact anyone with this company that could give me the correct address, I was only hassled more. No one could give me the address flat out. I Know that it was my own fault for jumping into the timeshare trap, and I should have read every single paper that I signed. But, I really feel it is their tactic to drag your 90 minute presentation out to the point where you're exhausted. We were there in excess of 5 hours by the time we signed. We have young kids and were ready to get out of there. I would really be grateful if they had to personally tell you about the rescission period, as well as putting it on the closing documents... And then NOT hiding them in a briefcase full of paperwork.
