My family and I traveled to Orlando, FL in 4 and were invited to Westgate Timeshares 90-minute presentation for exchange of discounted Disney World tickets. We were held more than 4 hrs and they lied to us that their timeshare was in high demand and we could rent or resale it, plus all kinds of lies. Unfortunately, after so much pressure, we bought 2brms lockout unit (even year) for $14,000. Current tax and fee is about $1,000 (in even year).
After we bought it, we found out that our timeshare has NO value because we cannot even resell it. Plus we got all kinds of scam after that.
Everytime I called Westgate to book my week at Westgate Lakes (my home base), they said that the week I wanted was not available at Westgate Lakes, and I had to pay $150 exchange fee to stay at other lower rating Westgate resort. Plus they made it so hard for me to use my lockout unit, and if I don't use it I will lose it.
Is there any way to sue this company? How to get out of this scam?
