In 1998, tired of repainting the trim and south facing part of my house every year, I was contacted by a representative of Tex Cote, who promised that with their treatment of my house I would never have to paint again, and that it would be guaranteed for my lifetime. Additionally, it would not fade, stain or crack. Cleaning could be done wih a garden hose. The company also installed aluminum trim on my house.
I recently discovered multiple cracks in the Tex Cote, the north side of the house is covered with soot from the recent fires in California (which will not wash off) and the aluminum trim is coming loose. The cracks are located on the sides of the house which recieve nearly constant sunlight.
Would recommend anyone considering using this product, reconsider. It is good for a lifetime only if you plan on dieing within 8-10 years.
I contacted the company and told them of my problems. They replied that with the housing slowdown, they had downsized, and it would be a week or so before they could get out to inspecte my house. A week laterI was contacted and told they would be out the next day. Suprise! No one showed up.
