In January we paid $5800 to have Masterpiece Exteriors paint the exterior of our house with Tex-Cote paint which is supposed to last a lifetime.
3 years later the entire house is streaked with the original light yellow color showing through.
Masterpiece Exteriors finally (after 8 weeks of phone tag) sent one of their painters to evaluate the situation. He told me the entire house had to be repainted at a cost to me of $2500.
Why would I pay an additional $2500 to a company who did not paint it properly the first time for $5800? It seems they have no intention of standing behind their work. My complaint is not with the paint manufacturer, Tex-Cote, 5950 S. Avalon Blvd, LA, California 90003 (800-454-0340) as Stacey there has been pressuring Masterpiece on my behalf to get the situation resolved, even though Tex-Cote has no responsiblity for the workmanship.
So, who does take responsibility for a shoddy job that now looks like the house was washed with bleach? I have contacted Stacey Shiebel in Tampa, FL to see if can help me and perhaps some others whose reports of "dissatisfaction" with Masterpiece Exteriors which I have read at usacomplaints.com.
