My family and I (husband and daughters) leased a home from Tony Srivatava in June. Mike lost his job 2 months prior to our lease being up.
We paid 2,395.00 a month and on top of that we paid his home owners insurance. He let us pay in monthly installments for HIS insurance. We could no longer afford to rent his house.
Mike (husband) and I started looking for other places. Each homeowner or property management agency who called asking him for a reference, he told them we had vicious pitt bulls. We have an American Bulldog and an American Staffordshire, both trained and licensed.
I was actually relieved to be out of there. He would constantly ask us if we could pay the rent early because he had run into problems. We were kind to him, although he took advantage of us.
After moving out (3 weeks), he sent us a letter saying he was not going to return our $ 3,000.00 deposit. On top of that he is charging us a bogus amount of $ 12,000.00 for repairs to his house. It is an old house that needs repairs, but we are not the owners and we did not damage the house.
When moving there, we did knick the carpet, but hired a contractor to fix it.
There is so much more, but I got the worst out. Do not rent from this man.
Neither him or his wife work. They must make their money scaming people.
