American Fresh Start claims to help you help yourself to the American Dream of homeownership. They are a lease purchase husband-wife team that seeks people with less than perfect credit and lures them into believing that they are going to help them realize the american dream.
I lost 6500 dollars in option money before realizing that they were charging more than the house appraised, and leaving. I gave them a 30 day notice after having suffered thru their constant lack of professionalism with regards to repairs on a brand new home. Actually the things should have been taken care of by the builder. They did not care enough to have them handled in a walkthru.
I always paid my rent as you say on time. They really got ugly with me when I decided to leave after 18 months and tried to sue me for unpaid future rent. They lied to everyone when I tried to use them as a reference. Never sign a lease purchase agreement. I was warned but I trusted them thinking they were Christians. Never lease purchase with anyone. Please Don't Do It!
