I rented my home out to Mr. Larry McDonald of Tampa, FL - he works at Fresidian Medical Services off of Waters Avenue in Tampa. Earlier in the year, he called me to explain he has lost his job and could he pay his rent in 2 installments. I agreed because I am a compassionate person. Well this went on for too long and I explained to him that we appreciated him taking care of our home but we need him to pay his rent on time. I even worked out a plan so he could get caught up - I let him use his security deposit as rent in November with the agreement he'd pay rent on time every month and the security deposit must be paid by February. He agreed. December he paid his rent on time but then January he called me crying saying he lost his big sister and he needed to fly out of town to attend her funeral.
He pulled on my heartstrings and I agreed to let him pay, once again, his rent in 2 installments. He deposited half the rent into my account as agreed and then 1 week later, he stopped payment on that check without telling me. My savings became depleted b/c my overdraft protection is pulled from my savings. We then agreed to lower the rent and let him pay in 2 installments every month and he just called me yesterday to tell me he will not pay me rent because he wants to move and he knows that it will take time to evict him so he will live in my house rent free until eviction and in the meantime, will save as much money as he can so he can move out. Do NOT rent to this man. His common-law wife is Kim McDonald. They are African American, older people who seem very nice but he is a con artist. Beware!!! He is a liar and has not paid rent on time for the majority of the time he's leased my home.
